21st Sept 2009 11am, Grosssssss @ Machap resting place along North-South Expressway
Seriously, I din’t bear to take any picture. That was horrible.. swap of flies.
We were driving our way up to Bukit Tinggi along the North-South Expressway. The guys were hungry cos they haven’t had their breakfast yet. Kor(Carol’s bro) suggested that we were going to have some bits at Machap. Ivy was alerted and shouted with her eyes open, “the Woo Ying place?”(‘woo ying’ means flies in Cantonese).
Carol could hold any longer in the car, “Kor, I want to she-she(pee)”. Kor drove into Machap Resting place so that Carol could find a spot to release.
After toilet, Carol and I went up to the food court. I was surprised that the food court has now enclosed with glass panels and improved facilities with air-conditioner. When I arrived at the glass door panel, I almost tripped due to the step in front of the door. Once I pushed open the door, I saw the whole food court was packed with people and no table was available for us. “Buzz..buzz…buzz..”, I turned my head up and I saw two blue florescent light bulbs were above to attract and kill the flies. The buzzing sound was non-stop and there were still so many flies all over the places. I just can’t understand why customers just allow the flies to sit on the table while they were eating nasi lemak and milo ice. We couldn’t stand the outnumber of flies and the crowd so we went off.
We managed to find a bench outside and took out the food that we bought earlier. We started to came up with new menu idea for Machap food court like “Kaya toast with flies floss”, “flies ice-blend drink”, “Nasi lemak with fried flies”, “Milo ice with chewy flies float”… gross aren’t they?
